[answer #1] Question between x86 and x64 Vista device driver support

An x86 targeted driver will not work on an x64 install. The manufacturer of the hardware must specifically ngised and code an x64 driver for you to be able to use it in Vista.

[answer #2] Question between x86 and x64 Vista device driver support

Yeh, pretty much it :o) x86 drivers need to be installed on an x86 system - x64 need to be installed on an x64 system.
